Architectural, regal, and steeped in the grandeur of Mughal heritage — the 22K Gold-Tone White CZ Quatrefoil Open-Work Cluster & Pavé Shoulder Statement Ring is a ring of extraordinary design complexity and breathtaking all-white brilliance. Inspired by the four-fold symmetry of Mughal jali screens, Gothic tracery, and the classic quatrefoil motif that has adorned the world’s greatest architectural masterpieces, this ring translates centuries of decorative heritage into wearable fine jewelry of the highest order.
The face of the ring is a large square/cushion-shaped composition of pure open-work architecture. At its very center, four round brilliant white CZ stones are arranged in a tight diamond/cross formation — a miniature four-pointed star cluster of concentrated brilliance. Surrounding this central star, the gold is cut away in a four-pointed open negative space, creating the illusion that the center cluster floats within a gold star frame. Beyond this open star, four circular lobe clusters — one at each cardinal point (top, bottom, left, right) — each composed of five to seven round brilliant white CZ stones arranged in a tight circular formation with one center stone surrounded by a ring of flanking stones, creating four individual mini-cluster “petals” of exceptional brilliance. Between each pair of adjacent lobes, open arched cut-outs in the gold create a lacy, breathable negative space that gives the entire design its extraordinary lightness and architectural elegance despite its substantial face size.
