The diamond/rhombus silhouette of approximately 45 by 45mm features a four-pointed star/diamond frame with ornate scrollwork extensions at each cardinal point. The open filigree framework contains intricate scrollwork/arabesque curling vine tendrils filling the space between the 4 cardinal extensions; 4 fan/shell-shaped raised petal accents at top, bottom, left and right forming a cross axis; fine rope-twist/beaded gold border around the centre bezel; all in warm matte antique gold. The large round mabe/button pearl centre of approximately 18 to 20mm diameter is lustrous white/cream with a smooth domed surface set in a rope-twist/beaded gold bezel at the centre of the brooch. One large baroque/irregular teardrop pearl of approximately 12 by 8mm is suspended via a short slim gold chain of approximately 2 to 3cm from the bottom point of the brooch.
